After announcing that it would be foraying into the fizzy drinks market early in July, Dabur has announced the official launch of their new products; Real Volvo Drinks.
Venturing Into The Fizzy Drink Market
Dabur is one of India’s largest FMCG firms, which manufactures a variety of products including hair oils, health supplements, skin care, shampoos and foods. Under its foods brand is Real, a variety of fruit juices in flavours like Pomegranate, Tomato, Cranberry, Peach, Orange, Pineapple and Mixed Fruits.
Speaking to the Economic Times when the launch of the fizzy drinks was annonced, Kumar Mayank, the Category Head at Dabur India said “A segment which was left out of our portfolio was that of youngsters from 16-25 years age. In our primary research, we found out that they are not concerned about health. They want the fun of fizz. Also, consumers have been seeking a ready-to-drink beverage that is fizzy, yet comes without the guilt of unhealthy consumption.”
Real Volvo Fizzy Drinks
With such a product in mind, Dabur India has launched Real Volvo – fizzy drinks with 20-25% fruit juice content.
“We have been witnessing an increase in consumer demand for ready-to-drink beverages that are aerated but not unhealthy. With Real VOLO, we are meeting this consumer demand with a range of fizzy fruit drinks that retain the goodness of the fruits and come without the guilt of unhealthy consumption,” commented Kumar to the Economic times.
Real Volvo will be available in two flavours; Cranberry Blueberry and Grape Blackcurrant at Rs.40 for 2050 ml cans.
