Cremica Food Industries Expects A 35% Growth In Revenue Over The Next Year

Cremica Food Industries, an FMCG manufacturer has announced that it is looking at a 35% revenue growth rate in the next fiscal year according to a report from PTI. In a comment to PTI, Chairman and Managing Director Akshay Bector said “We are looking at an expected growth rate of up to 35 per cent in the fiscal year 2016-17. We are at around Rs 200 crore now.”

About Cremica Food Industries

Started in 1978, Cremica was a venture by Rajni Bector who had a strong love for baking. While it started on a small scale, producing ice creams, breads and biscuits, Mrs Bector’s Cremica has grown into a large food manufacturer.

Biscuits

Cremica manufacturers a variety of products including biscuits, breads and gifts and baskets. It exports a range of its biscuits including digestive biscuits, cream biscuits, cookies, crackers and glucose biscuits. The company also manufacturers breads for fast food and hotel chains including McDonald’s; 75% of Mrs Bector’s Cremica buns are supplied to McDonald’s India.

Along with biscuits and breads, Cremica manufactures chocolate syrup, mayonnaise, salsa, chili garlic dip and tomato ketchup.

Looking Ahead

Cremica plans to revv up it’s growth rate with a multi-pronged approach.

First off, it’s looking at expanding its distribution reach both in terms of geography and in numbers.  Over the next year, Cremica will expand its distribution outlets from 50,000 to 75,000 and focus on expanding its reach in East, West and South India. It already has a strong presence in the North. 

Additionally, the company plans to open a food park in Himachal Pradesh. To keep up with an increased distribution reach, it also plans to open a new manufacturing facility in the upcoming year.
