Craving Girl Scout Cookies? You Can Now Buy Them On Amazon!

on

There used to be a time when to get your Girl Scout cookies fix, you’d have to wait for one of the sellers to show up at your door; or have little friends in the right places. However, it’s the digital age and Girl Scout cookies have just become available on Amazon.

Cookies At A Mark Up

The cookies on Amazon are not thanks to the official Girl Scouts, but rather from third party vendors who are supposedly hoarding cookies from when they’re officially sold – late winter and early spring.

The vendors are selling boxes of Samoas and Thin Mints at a considerable mark up – while Thin Mints typically cost $5 per box, the vendors are selling them for $8.78. They can only be ordered through Amazon Marketplace.

There’s one more catch; the cookies being sold online may be past their expiry date. “In many instances, these cookies are actually expired. To find out when Girl Scouts will be selling cookies near you, visit www.girlscoutcookies.org or use the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app, free on iOS or Android devices,” a representative told the Tasting Table.

Would you rather take your chances buying the cookies online or wait until the Girl Scouts officially come calling?
