Cocoashala Is Here To Teach You Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Making Chocolate At Home

If you’ve been waiting for a way to learn the basics of making chocolate in the comfort of your own home, then you have to look no further than what Chennai has to offer.

Started by L Nitin Chordia, India’s only certified chocolate taster, Cocoatrait is a brand that is well-known in the country for anything to do with chocolate. Nitin, along with his wife, Poonam, not only conduct chocolate tastings and experiences but also make chocolates under the brand name and offer customers to subscribe to chocolate boxes on a monthly basis. Cocoashala was started under the Cocoatrait name as an initiative to promote knowledge, production and consumption of fine chocolates in the country. In 2018, Cocoashala will be hosting the Indian edition of the International Chocolate Awards.

But that’s not all. Cocoashala is collaborating with the International Institute of Chocolate Tasting to introduce the Chocolate Tasting Certification in India starting this year.

To kick it all off is this “preview” course into the world of “Micro-Batch (Bean to Bar) Chocolate Making”. In this course, it will be about understanding the basics of making your own micro-batch chocolates in Chennai using small scale and domestic equipment so that you can also make chocolates at home. The course is to help you understand how to make chocolates from bean to bar for your friends and family and also help you decide to study further into the world of chocolate making.
