Cities Of Ludhiana And Lucknow Can Now Use Zomato
Zomato has launched its services in the cities of Ludhiana and Lucknow, which are well-known for their food culture reports Indian Retailer. After the expansion of the online restaurant delivery platform and food delivery services of Zomato to these two cities, the services are now available in 17 cities across India.

The report further says that Zomato will be giving information of significant restaurant in both cities as well as make deliveries within 35 minutes on an average. The company has even tied up with 1000 restaurants across Ludhiana and Lucknow which include legendary restaurants, favourites, Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), and new cafes. So Lucknow residents can now order from the popular joints like Dastarkhwan, Al-Baik.Com, Moti Mahal, and Marksman via Zomato whereas Ludhiana can look at places like Khushi Ram & Sons, Hot Breads, Belfrance Bakers & Chocolatiers, Milkshake & Co., and Sharman Jain Sweets.
The Response From New Cities
“Lucknow has always been known for its love for food. We already have significant traffic from the city for our reviews/listing product and we have only recently introduced our food delivery service in Lucknow. We have been pleasantly surprised with the response within the first fortnight since our launch there. Within two weeks of launch, we are already clocking 3,000 orders a day and growing at 30% week-on-week. The city is showing all the signs of becoming a big growth driver for our business,” said Mohit Kumar, head of Food Delivery at Zomato, in a media statement says the report by Indian Retailer.
“Everyone knows how much Punjabis relish their food. It was absolutely no surprise to see the spikes in orders week-on-week since we launched there. The state of Punjab and therefore the cities of Ludhiana and Chandigarh both have been very welcoming to our food delivery services and we see the strong growth trend continuing in the future,” he added.
The company has even extended the features to make ordering food even more convenient. Some of these include the addition of features like ‘the finest’ and ‘new arrivals’ so that consumers can choose easily. Adding to the convenience options, the app also includes various payment methods like cash on delivery, cards (debit and credit), net banking, Paytm, Freecharge, Mobikwik, Simpl and Lazypay.
