Check Out What The Stars Ate At The Vanity Fair Oscar Party

The weekend saw a long list of celebrities walk down probably most sought after red carpet in all of tinsel town at the 89th Academy Awards. And while the show brought along a fair share of paparazzi, glamour, happy tears, hysterical moments, and faux pas’, what followed all that was even better. Yes, there was the Governor’s Ball, which by the sounds of it must’ve been dreamland, but an even swankier version of the Ball was the Vanity Fair annual Oscar party.

Though one may think that all those designer dresses – and as host Jimmy Kimmel pointed out, the Spanx – could only hold what was showered at the celebs in the snack bags dropped during the show, the guests went on to have a feast at the party, which according to People, began with black truffle lasagna and ended with In-N-Out burgers (no, The Rock wasn’t party to the In-N-Out feast).

Put together by chef Thomas Keller – of The French Laundry, Per Se and Bouchon – the star-studded banquet featured his elegant riffs on classic comfort foods, including crispy fried chicken nuggets, chicken pot pies, mini corndogs and black truffle lasagna. Take a look at the grand spread that was the Vanity Fair annual Oscar Party.

Of course there was dessert. Following up the impressive dinner, was an equally lavish selection of desserts that included gourmet banana splits, cupcakes named after the nominees, and mini butter tarts (which were recreated from recipe given by VF editor Graydon Carter’s mom).

And then there were special treats for all the winners. Let us all take a moment and “aww” in our heads.

Also, if you thought that Priyanka Chopra skipped all this to grab her beloved In-N-Out burger instead, you couldn’t be more wrong. Though you are partially right, because to keep up with tradition, the night also saw loaded carts and baskets of In-N-Out fast food burgers, which celebrities and guests (and even chef Keller) dove tongue first into!
