CCD At Your Door: Partnering With Swiggy For Home Delivery

Cafe Coffee Day will now be available to you at your doorstep. Partnering with Swiggy, the hyper-delivery startup, CCD will have its plethora of coffee and short eats available to be ordered through the Swiggy app. Although coffee shops such as Starbucks have already initiated the home delivery system, this is a first time venture for CCD, who will have the largest reach of any coffee shop with over 1000 cafes in 219 cities.  

Speaking to TOI, Coffee Day Enterprises marketing President, Bidisha Nagaraj said, “Delivery for snack time and quick meal was an area where we saw a clear gap.” There are several restaurants providing breakfast, lunch and dinner services through online ordering apps. But there is a distinct requirement for cafes offering snacks and short eats during the course of the entire day. Many of the restaurants shut their doors during the “tea/coffee and snacks” time of the day, 4PM to 6PM. 

Customers will have to place their orders through the Swiggy app. It also provides real-time tracking of Swiggy’s drivers and promises food delivery within 45 minutes. For now, the CCD home delivery initiative will only be available in Bangalore where customers can place their orders from around 50 CCD cafes. Nagaraj noted that this initiative in Bangalore will be used as a test-drive for the menu and home delivery and based on customer feedback , it will be tweaked to provide the best home delivery service for the customers.
