Cannabis Water Will Ease Your Workout Pain, Would You Try It? #POLL

on

The year saw a number of cannabis-infused foods and drinks. Right from coffee pods to marijuana wine, a number of beverages too were on the “green” list. And just before 2016 comes to a close, the most recent drink to hop on the cannabis bandwagon is cannabis-infused water. That’s right, you can now drink the stuff like it’s no big, albeit without getting high.

Produced by Puration, an organization that specializes in in cannabis extractions to be used in food and drink products with a focus on “wellness” and the sports-inclined market, EVERx CBD Infused Bottled Water will soon hit markets.

Relief & Relax

The product is projected to hit a consumer base that’ll gym goers and the people who engage their body in a lot of physical activity, as the drink is enriched with cannabinoil, the marijuana component responsible for relaxing the body and relieving pain.

Apart from providing pain relief and muscle relaxation, there are a number of other benefits of the weed-rich H2O. It’s an anti-inflammatory and can relieve muscle spasms, reduce nausea, and aid sleep, while current research is looking into further uses of CBD that could treat sports-related head injuries. However, the parent company Puration highlights that their products is “not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.”

Distribution

Initially, Puration plans to launch a 16.9 oz bottle of the sports drink, which would contain 10 mg of infused CBD and would be the original flavor. Following this, the company also plans to introduce two new flavors, of the bottled water, soon. The first production run is expected to happen in 2017, with distribution following immediately. According to reports, the company is expecting to take in $1 million water sales in 2017.

Though given the nature of the water, it is being presumed that it will be available only to people living in states that have legalized the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes, that is, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, and in the future, Massachusetts, Maine, California, and Nevada as well. Sigh. Don’t we just love America?
