Cafe Coffee Day Teams Up With Uber To Enhance Product Distribution

on

With a Starbucks available in almost every major city in India, it’s easy to forget the OG of coffee shops here in India. Cafe Coffee Day was a staple for millennials growing up, and the catchphrase “a lot can happen over coffee” is invariably recognized.

An Effort To Boost Retail Sales

Now, CCD is all set to team up with Uber for the distribution of products throughout India. “Coffee Day Global Ltd (CDGL) has entered into an agreement with Uber Portier B V, wherein CDGL is partnering with UBER for obtaining technology services through the “UberEats” mobile application in order to enable distribution of food products,” Coffee Day Enterprises said in a BSE filing. This would help to increase retail sales.

Currently, UberEats is present in over 25 countries in over 90 cities covering thousands of restaurants globally, including India. So, the next time you feel cravings for a Tropical Iceberg or (more likely) their fire chocolate chip cookies, you won’t have to drag yourself all the way down there. With just a few touches on your phone, your order will be on the way!
