Bring Out The Parsi In You With These Restaurants in Bengaluru

on

We can all relate to the disappointment of going out and eating unauthentic cuisine. It’s especially hard for those of us who have immigrated to Bengaluru and are craving a bit of home food. Or maybe you’ve just been abroad and want your friends to taste the great dishes you just experienced? Hopefully, this list will be of some assistance to you if you want to try the best of the best of Parsi cuisine.

SodaBottleOpenerWala

This restaurant off Lavelle Road stays true to Parsi cuisine and its Iranian roots. Its décor resembles a Parsi café and almost everyone has something to say about how beautiful the ambiance is. Lucky for us, one of SBOW’s core values is providing an authentic Parsi experience to each and every one of their customers. They also provide signature, themed cocktails, such as the Bombay Julep, and Old Bawa. SBOW is looking to expand its range by April and will be adding new dishes as well as extending the timings from morning to evening. Now you know where to go for a morning cup of Irani Chai and Bun Maska.

Red Fork Deli

People are raving about this joint in Indiranagar. It is owned and run by a Parsi family. They serve delicious breakfast items and burgers but if you ask the staff, you’ll be told about the Parsi dishes they serve such as Dhansak with spiced potato kebabs and kachumbar. They also have great little melt in the mouth meringues. The quality of their food ensures that their diners turn into regulars.

For their mains you can try out the Patra ni Machhi, which is fish (most often Pomfret or Surmai) stuffed heavily with green coconut chutney and wrapped in a banana leaf and steam cooked, or you can go for the more well-known dishes of Sati Boli and Kheema Pattice.
