A Bounty Of Veggie Food Is Why The UK, Dubai and Singapore Are Indian Travellers’ Favourite Holiday Destinations

The summer holidays are almost here and you may have noticed that a lot of your friends are headed to Dubai, the UK or Singapore. Sure, they’re great placed for shopping and sight-seeing, but s survey by Cox& Kings has revealed another intriguing reason why these destinations are at the top of the Indian travellers’ favourite holiday destinations; they have many vegetarian food options.

Looking At Cuisine When Picking Holiday

According to the survey, cuisine is the most important factor when choosing a holiday destination, which makes it unsurprising that vegetarian friendly destinations are popular.

The study also said that older folks are more comfortable choosing vegetarian tours over cosmopolitan tours to foreign countries so they are assured pure vegetarian dishes at every meal. The younger generation, however, are more open to cosmopolitan tours.

Vegetarian travellers also carry pre-packed, ready to eat or cook foods like noodles or upma to ensure that they have a go-to option when they are unsure about local vegetarian options.

Karan Anand, head, relationships, Cox & Kings said, “The demand for vegetarian outbound tours is mainly coming from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. Major share of demand for Cox & Kings’ Vegetarian tours comes from these states.”
