Early this year, Bisleri announced plans to re-enter the soft drinks market with the launch of four fizzy drink products; Limonata, Fonzo, Pina Colada and Spyci. Now, Bisleri has announced that it has partnered with Grofers to sell Bisleri Pop.
Bisleri’s re-entry into the world of soft drinks
Twenty years ago, Bisleri exited the soft drinks market after selling Thums Up, Citra, Gold Spot and Limca to Coca Cola. Early this year, it announced that it would be re-entering the market having spent a year on product development and research.
Speaking about the launch of the new products, Ramesh Chauhan the Chairman of Bisleri, said, “Our wide market reach along with our strong brand reputation gives us an added advantage. Bisleri Pop has products with flavours which are distinctive and different from any other drinks available in the market.”
Bisleri Ties Up With Grofers

As a part of the tie up, consumers who click on a Pop ad will get redirected to the Grofers app, from which they will be able to buy all four Pop flavours. The tie up extends across major tier one cities in India including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Calcutta, Noida and Surat.
Commenting on the tie up, Jayanti Chauhan the Director at Bisleri said, “We are very happy to announce our first exclusive tie-up with Grofers for Bisleri Pop. We are motivated by ways through which we can get closer to our customer. People have become tech savvy and rely on mobile devices for almost everything. Offering a delivery service for our new launch is about meeting our customers with both convenience and connection and the added bonus of great taste!”
In a press statement, Tapan Malhotra, VP Sales, Grofers similarly commented, “We are excited to exclusively partner with a trusted brand like Bisleri for the launch of the new Bisleri Pop. We are seeing a remarkable transformation in the way India shops with brands now having unprecedented direct & instant access to consumers through our mobile app. Supported by a robust supply chain till the consumer’s doorstep, we will work closely with Bisleri to make Bisleri Pop the preferred drink for consumers this summer.”
