10 Awesome Desserts You Can Make This Weekend Using Peanut Butter

on

Peanut Butter is a gift from the gods. You can eat it at any time, with anything and all day, every day. Sure, there are more people in the world allergic to nuts than there are those that aren’t, but peanut butter is still one of those things from our childhoods that we can’t stop eating. Surprisingly enough, there are a lot of things that you can do with peanut butter. For most of us, peanut butter is the thing that we add with jelly (or as we Indians call it ‘jam) in our sandwiches. It’s not as popular as it once was, but the magic of peanut butter has not and will never die out.

The great thign about peanut butter is that it comes in so many varieties! You can get the crunchy peanut butter which has a nice bite to it with each mouthful, or the chunky peanut butter which is just the big brother of the crunchy one. Or you can get the smooth and creamy option, which is just as delicious and fulfilling. A lot of the dishes we’ve listed below use smooth peanut butter, but it honestly depends on you. If you want something with a little character, go ahead and use the chunky peanut butter!

So here we go, a bunch of easy to make and delicious when it’s ready dishes for you to make this weekend.

If the name and that image scared you, take it from us, it’s the easiest thing to make. Crush your biscuits and mix with butter and then spread it evenly in your baking tray then freeze for till the topping is ready. Then melt some chocolate and blend that with peanut butter (preferably smooth, but you can use crunchy too!) and pour over the base and freeze again for at least 2 hours. Then slice and serve.

peanut butter fudge

Fudge is seriously one of the easiest things to make and you can add whatever flavour you want to make it interesting! Boil milk with some sugar, stirring regularly, then take off the fire and add the peanut butter and vanilla extract till smooth. Pour it into a baking tray and smooth it out. You can either stick it in the fridge to harden or you can serve it a little warm and fudgey.

peanut butter oatmeal balls

Mix the oats, peanut butter and chocolate chips with some honey together and mix it all up together. Then form balls from that mixture and set it in the freezer or refrigerator for an hour. You can either eat it right then or store it for a while, but remember to keep it in the fridge either way!

peanut butter chocolate pie

For the chocolate part of it, use Oreo cookies and just crumble and mix nicely with butter to form a thick sandy mixture. Put it into the tray and set aside in the fridge while you prepare the rest of the pie. Mix peanut butter with cream cheese till smooth, then add in the whipped cream and some powdered sugar. Pour this into the base and stick it back in the refrigerator for an hour or two till it properly sets. Melt some chocolate for the top layer and pour on top of the peanut butter layer, then freeze till fully set. And you’re ready to serve!

peanut butter cookies

This obviously requires some baking, but it’s not that complicated either way. Mix peanut butter, eggs and white sugar together and maybe toss in some chocolate chips as well (because how can you go wrong with that?) and then put spoonfuls of the dough onto your baking tray and bake for about 6-8 minutes. Or try this recipe!

peanut butter cheesecake

pb-cheesecake

It’s really the same way you made the pie, but this time we’re going to do it without chocolate. You can just use regular Graham Crackers for the base, or any biscuit of your choice. You can also bake it instead of sticking it in the fridge, the choice is yours. And for the topping, just pour on some caramel and you’re set! Or you can follow our Nutella Cheesecake recipe and just replace the Nutella with peanut butter.

peanut butter ice cream

We’re all about the no churn ice cream, because it’s easy and it requires absolutely no headache on your part. Stir together condensed milk, vanilla essence, and peanut butter and add that mixture into the heavy cream and once it’s all mixed together, pour into a dish and store in the freezer for a few hours. It’s really that simple! We even made a Peanut Butter Banana ice cream that takes absolutely no time at all!

peanut butter milkshake

All you need is ice cream, milk and peanut butter. And if you want more flavouring, toss in some bananas. Blend it all together in a blender. Line your glass or mug with chocolate sauce and pour in the milkshake and stick a straw in it. Boom, done!

Melt the peanut butter, chocolate and sugar together in a pan, then add in the eggs and mix together before adding the flour and folding it all together. Then pour this mixture into the baking tray. Melt some more butter in a microwave and then drizzle this over the brownie mixture and bake for 30 minutes or so, letting the middle be a little undercooked. And you’re done.
