Aqua Pod Is All Set To Be The World’s First Floating Food Trucks

on

Ever fancied getting served up from a floating restaurant? Well, your dreams may soon be a reality as Dubai-based Aquatic Architects Design Studio (AADS) have thunk up a floating food truck that may be operational as soon as next month!

The Aqua Pod is an electrically-powered floating food truck, and it’s fully sustainable! Currently, the menu will focus on burgers, with the possibility of expanding to pizzas and desserts, if viable, in the future. The reasoning behind making burgers was due to the convenience factor, also, who doesn’t like a good burger!

One of the coolest things about this food truck is the way it gets food to its customers. They have two methods for delivery. The first involves a flag system where customers in crafts around the pod will receive a flag. If you want to order, raise your flag to call a waiter who will give your order to the chefs, after which, it will be delivered straight to your boat. The second option lets people order directly at the pod by driving your jetski, canoe, (what have you) alongside the Aqua Pod.

“The goal here is to redefine the idea of a food truck—which is always found on land—and to develop what you can call a floating kitchen that serves people who are in marine craft rather than cars,” Ahmad Yousuf, founder of Aquatic Architects Design Studio, told Gulf News.
