Applebees Is Now Selling $1 Long Island Iced Teas

You’ve heard of the dollarita, now get prepared for the dollarliit (jk, that’s not the real name, just made that up)! As you may (or may not) have surmised from the name, its a Long Island Iced Tea for just a dollar! And yes, you read that right! According to Buzzfeed, who seem to have gotten the inside scoop on the whole arrangement, Applebees is serving up dollarliits (please let it catch on) for the entire month of December!

“The Long Island Iced Tea is one of our top five bestselling cocktails and depending on the time of year — our top selling one,” an Applebee’s spokesperson told BuzzFeed Food. In case you missed it, LIIT’s are made with five different spirits and Applebees says there is going to be 1.5 ounces of each spirit in each drink! *salivates*

It turns out that most of Applebees outlets in America are participating in the offer (so much win), and from Twitter reactions, it looks like the dollarliits (okay, the official term is Dollar L.I.T.) are LIIT (the pun had to happen at some point).

However, there were the cynics claiming it would be another dollarita fiasco.

Jamie, you’re paying a dollar to get L.I.T honestly, take your negativity out for a $10 cocktail.
