An American Brewery Created A “Thanks Obama” Beer For Inauguration Day

on

Barack Obama might just be one of the most popular and most loved American presidents of all time and now that his term as a president is coming to an end, the American people and those around the world are mourning as the next president takes over.

Obama has also been the face of many memes, but most of all for the Obama-Biden bromance ones and the “Thanks Obama” memes which pokes fun at the president, blaming him for all the things that go wrong in our lives.

But now, an American brewery is taking that up a notch and created a beer named after the meme! Minnesota-based brewery Surly Brewing Company has unveiled a “Thanks Obama” beer, which is a Winter Rye IPA that features aromas of candied grape and vanilla cream. The beer will be available at the bar in their brewery and will be served on Inauguration Day (Friday, January 20th), because why not.

On their website, Surly released a statement about this new beer and said, “Reflect on the last eight years, look to the future, and enjoy a pint with your fellow Americans. Beer is one of the few bipartisan things left in this country, so please don’t yell at us about the name on the internet, even though we know you’re going to anyway.”

It’s a great farewell to Obama after the 8 years of his presidency and once you’re done with that, maybe you can head on over to Denver to try out the Anti-Trump beer named “Pussy Riot”.
