All That Katrina Kaif Loves To Eat In Delhi & Mumbai

on

Easily the Hindi film industry’s poster child for health and fitness, Katrina Kaif swears by great food and admits that it’s the one thing that puts a smile on her face. “Food gets me going. Nothing can cheer me up better than a good meal,” the actress was recently quoted as saying.

As part of The Times of India’s #FlirtWithYourCity campaign, Kaif got candid about some of her food secrets. Now, don’t let that flawless form fool you, because the Tiger Zinda Hai star is a sucker for street food when it comes to Delhi and Mumbai.

“I love street food and any street place that offers ‘paya’ with ‘kadak pav’ will instantly be a favorite for me. I can eat my heart out with ‘paya’ and pav. I also love seafood, with prawns and crabs being my comfort food. Mumbai being a coastal city has some of the best seafood restaurants, especially around Mahim and Juhu,” she said speaking about her favorites in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, when in the national capital, Kaif loves herself some of the city’s iconic chaat. “The street food here is something to die for, I think Delhi gives you a lot of options and variety to choose from. From chaat in Bengali Market to kebab and paranthe in Chandni Chowk, I would want to try everything. Delhi also has some good fine-dining options”.

Although big on street food and great meals, Kaif is also very mindful of her well-being. Thanks to social media, the actress is regularly seen sweating it out in the gym or stretching it out with Yasmin Karachiwala, her Pilates instructor. However, if given an option, the actress would love to explore all the scenic workout spots in Delhi and Mumbai.

“I would have loved to run at Worli seaface or Bandstand or even Marine Drive. Joggers Park is close to where I live and looks like an amazing place to work out too”, she said adding that Delhi’s lush green localities like Lodhi garden, the area around India Gate, and Lutyens’ Delhi are also a few of her favorites. “I know that some people in NCR also have these cycling clubs and I would want to accompany them and cycle early morning and explore Delhi”, Katrina added.
