Drink Me Potion

The ‘Drink Me Potion’ that Alice came across had a similar effect. Here’s what it tasted like:

“…so Alice ventured to taste it, and, finding it very nice (it had, in fact, a sort of mixed flavor of cherry-tart, custard, pine-apple, roast turkey, toffy, and hot buttered toast), she very soon finished it off.”

Sounds delicious, right? We thought so too. So, today we’re sharing a recipe for the Drink Me potion, adapted from Food in Literature. Sip it with a meal or while you’re watching the trailers for Tim Burton’s Alice Through The looking glass which releases next year.

Instructions
  1. Combine the juices and custard together.
  2. Stir together the cream, butter and brown sugar over a low flame until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Allow the toffee sauce to cool and stir it into the juice custard mixture.
  4. Serve and enjoy.
