AB InBev Appoints Pedro Aidar As Its BU India President

Major beer company, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has announced that it is appointing Pedro Aidar as its Business Unit President for BU India after the combination with SAB Miller. The BU India consists of India as well as other South Asian countries.

Aidar’s Involvement With Ab InBev

Aidar has been with AB In Bev for 15 years in a variety of roles; he was earlier the Vice President of Finance for the APAC region in Shanghai, following which he was the President for the Business Unit India South East Asia. Following this appointment, he becomes President of the Business unit of AB InBev combined with SAB Miller.

“The combination of SABMiller and AB InBev businesses in India is extremely complementary, resulting in a portfolio of local and global brands spanning the different segments of the local beer market. The two companies are privileged with great human talent able to drive robust growth in our joint operations in the years to come. The beverage industry in India represents a fantastic business opportunity and I am personally very excited about the prospects of our new combined group”, Aidar said in a statement to the press.

AB InBev in India is present through its subsidiary Crown Beers India Private Limited which brews, dristrubutes and sells Budweiser and Budweiser Magnum. It also sells imported brands like Stella Artois, Corona and Hoeegarten.

The new Business Unit India is headquartered in Bangalore and will be reporting to the Zone President for Asian Pacific South.

These changes are predicted to come in effect by October 10th. The changes follow SAB Miller’s merger with AB InBev, more about which you can read here.
