A Journey From The Oldest Tea Plantation To The Supreme Taste of Yauatcha


Yauatcha, the dim sum teahouse from London is an accessible fine dining space that reflects the spirit of a modern all day tea house and fuses it with Chinese cuisine and mixology. In September this year, the team behind Yauatcha India paired up with the folks at Ballantines Whisky and embarked on a journey to the Ging Tea House, one of the oldest tea plantations in Darjeeling, to conjure a new tea blend of tea which is the key ingredient of the Golden Ging cocktail that is a part of the Supreme Taste of Yauatcha experience. The set menu comprises of soup, salad, dim sum, stir-fry, staple and a dessert available from Monday through Thursday for dinner.

This six course set experience is a meticulously created menu that includes Yauatcha’s signature dishes designed specifically to sit back and enjoy a hearty meal amidst the beautiful interiors of the restaurant. Accompanied with the newly introduced Golden Ging cocktail, this menu will be served with an option of vegetarian or regular.

Start off your meal with the light but wholesome Hot and sour soup with mushroom or shredded chicken, followed by our signature crunchy Mixed salad with lotus root. At Yauatcha a meal is incomplete without the famous dim sum, guests can choose two baskets from a myriad of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options such as the Vegetarian poached Peking dumpling, Shiitake mushroom dumpling, Pork char sui bun or the signature Har gau that are intricately wrapped and freshly prepared by Yauatcha’s skilled dim sum chefs every day.

Choose from mains like Mabo tofu, Stri-fry lotus root, asparagus and water chestnut, Kung pao chicken or Steamed Indian seabass in spicy black bean sauce accompanied with Egg fried rice with long bean or the Ho fan noodles with chicken. Enjoy all this while you sip on a tall glass of the light and refreshing Golden Ging cocktail made with Ballantines finest, Darjeeling tea, passion fruit and orange bitter. End your meal with Yauatcha’s instagramable desserts like the Chocolate pebble and the Red fruit fromage.
