Salt Bae’s NYC Restaurant Is Opening Today & Here’s All You Need To Know About It

on

After stepping foot in Miami, popular social media sensation and ace butcher-cum-restaurateur Nusret Gokce is now launching his sprawling restaurant in New York City. With the launch event scheduled for tonight, here’s all you should know about #SaltBae and his latest steakhouse location.

Turkish Walls & A Mural

Sitting in Midtown Manhattan at 60 West 53rd Street (Sixth Avenue), the eatery is nestled in the CBS “Black Rock” building (if that sounds familiar, it’s probably because it was formerly occupied by China Grill) and can seat up to 150 people at a time.

The décor of the restaurant features an elegant mélange of neo as well as classic Middle Eastern elements like colossal arches and traditional patterns on the walls complete with one big Salt Bae mural. With a bar that runs the length on an entire wall, the space is a manifestation of everything the flamboyant owner personifies.

Large Meats & Tableside Carving

The restaurant is known for its vast variety of meats including unique cuts, whole racks, and steaks, which will be a crowd-pleaser at the latest location as well. However, one of the main attractions that will make Nusr-et a hot favourite among meat-eaters is the tableside carving. In light of his true forte, that is meat carving, Gokce will have guests enjoy watching meats being carved live at their tableside.

Meanwhile, the menu carries some of the best meat offering that one can find. The food options feature the quintessential Nusr-Et carved meats in addition to a kofta, which will be a giant seasoned ground beef patty enclosing kasseri cheese, seared on the grill and served in portions, reports Food & Wine. Other items on the menu will include a mix of International and Turkish options like beef carpaccio, steak tartare, salads, seafood, and baklava.

With the latest Nusr-Et branch in NYC, Gokce’s restaurant has gone up to eleven. He has been a popular name in the global restaurant arena since 2010, which was when he kicked off his steakhouses in Turkey and the Middle East. Gokce is currently planning a second Nusr-Et outlet in New York and one in London as well.
