Delhi has welcomed this swarm of food loaded trucks with open hands, and why shouldn’t we? A very popular concept overseas, these food trucks have managed to attract foodies with its lucrative exteriors in Delhi as well. Let’s have a quick look at the food trucks that are making the rounds in the city.

 

Eggjactly

Eggjactly enjoys the position of being India’s very first food truck. Adding a refreshing new twist to street food, Eggjactly offers healthy burgers, omelets, waffles, and pancakes as well as yummy shakes and desserts. If you haven’t figured out already, ‘Egg’jactly uses eggs as their key ingredient- eggs in every possible form! From the kind of comfort food the truck is dishing out to the fact that it is GPS-enabled and posts its whereabouts on Facebook and Twitter, Eggjactly’s debut has been a successful one.

 

Super Sucker

Coated in eye-popping colours, Supersucker is hard to miss. The truck offers a diverse selection of American, French, Greek, Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines, along with smoothies and other beverages. SuperSucker gives your daily meal a spin of fun with names like ‘Skew Driver’ on the menu. From Burritos, wholesome Salads to Keema Pav, they’ve got it all! 

 

The LaLit Food Truck Company

Enjoy your five star Mexican faire, street food style at The LaLit Food Truck Company. Tacos, Churros, Quesadillas and Falafels are all served out of a bright red truck. They also offer outdoor catering. An offshoot of the popular hotel’s hospitality wing, this truck brings in their gourmet expertise to the masses. Despite having all the fancy items on the menu, the show stealer is definitely the on-the-go combos.

 

Kobri

Idliwiches (is not a South Indian witch) and Dosa Wraps are a few reasons why you should consider visiting Kobri’s food truck that offers an eclectic fusion of South Indian and global cuisines. Kobri has a minimal but very innovative menu. These Idli Sandwiches and Dosa Wraps can be stuffed with some exotic fillings of your choice. Chicken with Bok Choy in Malabar gravy stuffed in your dosa, sounds like a dream right?

 

What The Truck?

Burgers, Wraps and Keema Pao, all out of a truck. This couldn’t get any better. Seen around Gurgaon, What The Truck? is popular for its Wraps and Chilli Doggie Dogs. The distinctive white and maroon truck’s unique logo and of course, name can be spotted from afar. Or else you can just follow your nose! 

 

Frugurpop

Frugurpop (sounds like a toddler trying to say fruit, sugar and popsicle all at once) is a brightly coloured pink truck selling popsicles – so much happiness in one sentence! Frugurpop brings handcrafted gourmet Paletaz (a version of Mexican posicles) to the streets of Delhi. These popsicles are entirely natural with no preservatives or artificial flavouring with optional sugar free varieties as well. Operating in Gurgaon as well as Mumbai, this startup by two entrepreneurs can be frequently found at festivals and farmers markets.
