No, you’re not in hell, just a typical summer afternoon in Delhi. But never has the heat stopped us from going out and chilling (oh, the irony) even if the mercury is rising and threatens to break out from the thermometer. Because, food. So here are 5 places in Delhi to beat the heat this summer.

What makes it an ideal a summer hangout are the air and water sprinklers placed atop every pathway, which will make you feel a lot better about Delhi summers.

This restaurant is a part of Delhi’s much-loved Crafts Museum. With an eclectic and innovative menu, Café Lota offers dishes like mushroom khichdi, sabudana popcorn and mushroom uttapam and some regional classics like the Kerala chicken stew, Konkan fish curry and dal ka chilla.

IHC is famous for it’s food court ‘Eatopia’ which brings together ethnic restaurants from all over the country and also a huge desserts counter know for its fresh sugar donuts and muffins. The Habitat Centre is also loved for it’s restaurant The All American Diner that serves typical diner food. This place also houses the fine dining restaurant Delhi ‘O’ Delhi but sadly, this one is accessible to members only. But the diner and food court are worth trying out and if you’re lucky enough, you might just come across a good exhibition.

It’s one of those places where even non-vegetarians would willingly go despite having knowledge that it’s a pure vegetarian café. Enough said.
