Capsicum chicken is one of those Indian-Chinese fusion dishes that are wildly popular across India. Get your nutrients from the capsicum and your protein from the chicken, and feel pleased with yourself for having a nourishing homemade meal.

Instructions
  1. Combine the lemon extract and salt with the ginger and garlic paste.
  2. Marinate the chicken in this combination for 10-20 minutes. Heat the oil and fry the chicken, stirring in the onion, cardamom and cinnamon stick after a minute or so.
  3. Continue sautéing for two minutes and add the tomato and capsicum.
  4. Stir well to incorporate and then add salt to taste and the soy sauce.
  5. Add the black pepper balls, the tomato sauce and chili sauce and stir well.
  6. Add the green chillies and stir well.
  7. Finally, add the sugar to the dish and sauté for a minute.
  8. Take the dish of the stove and serve hot.
