17-Year-Old Chloe Kim Is Hungry For More Than Just The Olympic Gold

on

Earlier this week, 17-year-old American halfpipe champion Chloe Kim bagged the first position at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, taking home the gold medal. And while her friends, family, and country are overwhelmed by her achievement, social media has been more concerned with whether she had breakfast or not and her favourite ice cream flavor.

Much like any other young adult her age, Kim too takes her food very seriously. Any lack of it thereof leaves the Olympian “hangry”, which she tweeted about on the day of her competition. Yes, THE competition. The athlete took to Twitter to vent her disappointment with herself over not finishing her breakfast sandwich.

This wasn’t the first instance where Kim had shared her day’s gastronomic proceedings on social media. On Monday, just a day before she was set to compete in the Winter Olympics, she tweeted her craving for some gelato. No big.

And earlier, on Sunday, she blew off some nervous steam and let her followers know of her remedy to not getting nervous. She tweeted “Oh and I also had 2 churros today and they were pretty bomb so if you ever get nervous go eat a churro.”

Late last December too, in collaboration with Toyota, the Olympic champion was seen driving around town picking up yummies from California Pizza Kitchen and In-N-Out.

Now that’s a star we can totally relate with. One that trains hard whilst nursing hangry bouts and sugar cravings!
