Located in Alwarpet, this Chaat shop is a magnet that draws anyone in the area looking for an economic meal. The parotta is a popular choice, and paired with a juice from the shop next door to wash it down, is a meal that costs below Rs. 80!

Named after the proprietor who is now famous all over Chennai, this food stall that was started in Marina now has two more branches in T.Nagar and near Chepauk Stadium. Famous for its fresh seafood cooked with Sundari Akka’s secret spice mix, the shop has a large fan following and you can get a meal there for as low as Rs.50!

10. Burmese Atho Shops
