The already smooth and neat app just got a fancy new makeover that has reportedly made ordering food easier by enabling users choose restaurants and make food discoveries based on personal preferences, among other features.

Currently, the brand is offering a limited menu in Koramangala, which is a collaboration with popular restaurants in a joint venture to offer a selection where a restaurant does not have a physical presence. The platform facilitates lead generation, payment and delivery of orders for the partner restaurants.

7.FOOD DELIVERY STARTUP BOX8 HAS RAISED $7.5 MILLION IN SERIES B FUNDING

Mumbai-based food delivery startup Box8 has raised $7.5 million in Series B funding from IIFL Seed Ventures Fund and Mayfield Ventures. The funds raised will go into strengthing the supply chain, building superior technology, enhancing product development and expanding into new geographies.

Amazon’s 2-hour delivery service for essential household items has officially launched in two more cities in India following the February launch in Bengaluru. As for other cities, the service is available for select pin codes, but the service will definitely expand further through next year.

9.RUNNR RAISES AROUND $7 MILLION IN FUNDING FROM INVESTORS

Earlier this year, TinyOwl and Roadrunnr merged together to form Runnr, one of the many food delivery startups in the country. Times of India reported that the company has now raised around $7 million from investors. Amongst the investors are Nexus Venture Partners and Blume Venture Partners, who are co-leading this round of funding. In the early rounds of funding when the companies were separate, Sequoia Capital and Nexus were the early investors, but this time around, Sequioa has not joined the ranks of investors.

10.JUGNOO LAUNCHES READY-TO-EAT MEAL DELIVERY SERVICE

Auto-rickshaw aggregator, Jugnoo, has announced the launch of their delivery service, ‘Meals’. This new venture is part of the company’s newly launched Fatafat app (get it on Android or iOS), that allows patrons in Chandigarh to order ready-to-eat meals during lunch right to their doorstep.

Started in 2014 by graduates from IIT, Jugnoo works like Ola or Uber for autos in the Chandigarh area, where travellers can use their app to book an auto that will take them anywhere within the city. Jugnoo promises affordable rates and maximum customer satisfaction with savings of upto 32% on total costs as compared to other autos.
